Interrail Expense Calculator: Plan Your Trip Budget Before You Book
I built this calculator because I wish it had existed before my first Interrail trip. It was hard to know what budget I would need and keeping up with all of the different areas of spend.
This free Interrail budget calculator is different from the basic ones out there. It factors in all of it: the pass cost for your age and duration, train reservation fees (one of the most common hidden costs), city tax, local transport, travel insurance, and your spending money. It also shows you what your budget looks like country by country, so you can plan a route that actually works for your wallet.
Adjust the sliders, choose your travel style, and get a realistic total before you commit to anything.
Interrail Trip Cost Calculator
A realistic budget estimate that includes the costs most calculators miss
How much do you need to set aside each month?
Approximate per person per day (accommodation + food + local transport). Use this to plan a route that fits your budget.
Pass prices are based on published Interrail.eu pricing. The calculator auto-checks for pricing updates on every page load using live web data. Country daily cost estimates are based on community-reported spending averages for budget to mid-range travellers and are reviewed regularly. Reservation fees, city tax rates, and insurance costs are estimates and will vary by route, city, and provider. Always verify pass prices at interrail.eu before booking.
